1st Generation

Prabodhankar Thackeray also knows as Keshav Sitaram Thakre, and Keshav Sitaram Dhodapkar was a prolific author and campaigned actively for social reform against superstitions, caste system, child marriage and dowry.

2nd Generation

Bal Thakeray is an Indian politician that founded Shiv Sena, a right-wing pro-Marathi and Hindu nationalist party. He promoted for the creation of a separate linguistic state for Marathi speakers and protested against the spreading influences of non-Marathis in Bombay. He formed the Shiv Sena party to promote Maharashtra interests in Bombay India political and professional scene and was opposing several Bombay Muslim population. He had a large influence in Mumbai and had even promoted members from his party to perpetrate violence against Muslims. He was arrested multiple times and banned from voting and contesting in any elections for seeking votes in the name of faith.

3rd Generation

Smita Thackeray is an Indian social activist and founder of Rahul Productions and Mukkti Foundation. She is lauded for her activism work in Women’s safety, HIV/AIDS awareness and education.

Uddhav Thackeray is an Indian politician and currently serving as the president of Shiv Sena and Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He showcases an interest in photography and has exhibited his work at the Jehangir Art Gallery.

Bindumadhav Thackeray met an ill-fated mishap and died at the age of 42. He was affectionately known as ‘Binda’ and had no affinity to politics and started his own video company and later produced feature films. On eo fhis notable works include ‘Agnishakshi’ starring Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala and Nana Patekar.

4th Generation

Aditya Thackeray is an Indian Politician serving in the Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment Government of Maharashtra. Before getting elected, he led few projects in Maharashtra such as banning single-use plastics and importing penguins from Humboldt to Byculla Zoo. But sadly the penguins had died due to bacterial infection, and he earned the moniker “baby penguin”.

Tejas Thackeray is an Indian conservationist and wildlife researcher. He discovered 5 new species of freshwater crabs, where one was even titled after his surname.

Aishwarya Thackeray was declared by his father, that Aiswarya is not his son in a court hearing. He is also presumed to be in a relationship with Alaya F, who recently made her debut in Jawaani Jaaneman alongside Saif Ali Khan. He declared his intentions also to make his own debut in the cinema industry.
