1st Generation

Mohamad Mahathir is the 4th and 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia and one of the oldest serving country leader. He is known as Tun M and has shoveled his own fair share of controversies regarding his underhandedness when it comes to politics. His most recent tweet that took the world by storm, triggered by the Murder of Samuel Patty is that have Muslims have the ‘right to punish’ French. His tweet has since been removed by authorities for glorifying violence. He also proudly proclaims himself as an anti-Semite.

Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali is the former chancellor of Multimedia University in Malaysia and was awarded the Bina Bangsa Wanita title for her contribution as The First Lady and fought for drug abuse, reformation for rural woman and mental health.

2nd Generation

Marina Mahathir is an activist and writer who has voiced her disagreements over her father’s view points and ideologies. She stands up for human rights including LGBTQ which was boldly rejected and disputed by her father. Her speech on the “Right for Dignity” stresses that sexual orientation and gender identify should not be politicized and nether discriminated.

Mirzan Mahathir was voted out as the Chairman of SBI Offshore in June 2020. Once hailed a ‘savvy entrepreneur’ during the 90’s, but critics claim that this might have been backed off by his father’s influence. Currently his investments are seeing red and probably drowning.

Mokhzani Mahathir is one of the top 50 richest person in Malaysia according to Forbes Asia and is a part of the director’s board for telecommunication giant such as Maxis and original investor for Astro Malaysia Holdings.

Mukhriz Mahathir has served in Malaysian politics twice and had to leave his post. The first time because the majority in ADUN Barisan National had lost their trust in him and he lost the majority vote the second time.

3rd Generation

Meera Alyanna Mukhriz was arrested alongside her husband for flaunting the Movement Conditional Order (MCO) and fined RM 1000 on August 21, 2020. She has since apologized for her behavior and applauded the police on Instagram for handling the issue with utmost professionalism.

Melia Serena Mukhriz came to scrutiny when she questioned Tunku Ismail Idris’s (heir to Sultan Johor) wealth on twitter. Which led the latter to reply to her tweet and question the existence of her own wealth. He replied that he bought his extravagant car with one money, which could not be said the same for her luxurious life. And even tweeted “Now may I know your family became so rich? Just a? because I dream of being as rich as your family. I hope they would be so kind to teach.” which she had replied with “Cyber troopers at it again,”

Ineza Roussille is a director and won the top prize at the Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF) Red Ribbon Short Film Competition in 2015 for her short film entitled ‘My Life, My Story: Moon” which talks about the struggles faced by Moon, a Malaysian transgender diagnosed with HIV and for seeking treatment. She strongly disagrees with her grandfather’s stance on multiple issues and has been badly effected by some of the choices that Mahathir had made during his early years as president. She has even said that “I was not happy when I found out that my grandfather was running for prime minister yet again, 15 years after retiring from the same post. I’d never really been on the same page with him politically and I felt it was the wrong direction for the country,” (South China Morning Post)
