Nepal was a monarchy until 2008. The last ruling king was Gyanendra of Nepal.

Mahendra of Nepal 6 children. His first wife Indra died in 1950 at the young age of 24. She bore three sons and three daughters before her early death. She dued becauase of a complication following the birth of her sixth child. Two years after Indra’s death, her younger sister Ratna married Crown Prince Mahendra. Source
