Dian Sastrowardoyo, a famous actress mostly known by the role of Cinta in Ada Apa dengan Cinta (2002). In Indonesian media, Dian Sastrowardoyo is often praised for her beauty and intelligence.
Her father’s family is originally from Madiun. Unfortunately her father Ariawan died at the age of 40. Dian’s grandfather’s brother was Soenario, one of the Indonesian leaders during the Indonesian independence movement and had served as an administrator of the Indonesian Association in the Netherlands.

Maternal side
Dian’s mother is Parwati Setjorini Sastrowardoyo (born October 28, 1957), who is the daugher of Soejono and Basundari Soejono. Through her maternal grandmother, she is a descendant of Sultan Hamengkubuwono II. (Source: geni)
Personal life
Dian’s father is Buddhist, and her mother is Christian. Her previous religion is unknown, but she converted to Islam, before marrying Maulana.
Dian’s husband Maulana has quite an interesting family, so to say. His Father Adiguna, is a businessman who was convicted of killing a bartender. His grandfather, Ibnu Sutowow was an Indonesian army officer, Cabinet Minister and former head of the Indonesian oil and gas producer Pertamina.
